Rustic breadbasket or midounas
In southern Morocco, the word "mida" means table. These bread boxes (midounas), take their name from here to name these bread baskets that are used in the tables in the manner of a fruit bowl, a bread basket or simply to keep the table tidy.
They are often an extra income for families in rural areas, who sell them in the weekly souks. They are made with palm leaf, have a rustic finish and the measurements are approximate. A rustic Moroccan detail.
